Brightstar padded out to high rock. This was more or less just a check up. It was late evening, and kits were asleep, and the queens were there to watch over them. app. were allowed to come, but only if there chores were done. Brightstar sat down waiting to see when her clan was coming. She did have one announcement. About herself, and mouseleaf becoming mates was in her mind was not to much of a biggie, but to her clan it might be the biggest shock ever.

Riverpaw set down the dirty bundle of moss, and paused beside the gorse tunnel. This was the last bit. The elders' den was clean. Lakefrost was finished a piece of fresh-kill and Iriswhisker was grooming, but they both looked up at their leader ,on top of the High Rock.

Darkberry looked up, spotting Brightstar on the High Ledge. He'd sent Blackkit away a few minutes ago - she was virtually asleep on her paws - and he pushed himself up, padding a bit closer. He lay back down, glancing boredly around. Dawnash came back beside him, laying down and gazing up at Brightstar, eyes narrow. Her tail flicked and her ears lay half-flat. At last came Mouseleaf, padding in with two mice dangling from his jaws. He dumped his prey on the pile and looked up, blue eyes prideful and loving. Brightstar was so beautiful... He padded past Darkberry without really looked at his friend, and barely noticed Lakefrost, as he neared the High Ledge. Then the tabby tom spread himself out on the ground below, gazing up at her. Now that she knew, he could barely suppress his love, this joy that overwhelmed every fiber of his being.

(wow if brightstar didn't like him I would get a restraining order on him.) Brightstar looked over thunderclan. She could see the fresh kill pile freshly stocked, and kits being sent to bed. Things were running smoothly. The only thing troubling her was that griffin was still out there. It was good that they had skywatcher perhaps he could tell them were to find griffin. She needed to know about him. Was he a threte? Or just a rouge wanting to spur up trouble. (all my kitties are hear i am just to lazy to list them all out.) Mostly she was going to just ask some questions like how hunting was, any thing that dangers around camp. Like a pre-gathering. She let out a low mew. "Is everyone hear? All accounted for?" She was mostly talking to her self, but she heard a few meows in agreement. "all right most of you know how this goes, but for those who have forgotten let me explain how this goes. If you have any questions ask. Any consigns say so."

"I think everyone's here. What's going on, Brightstar? Has something happened? What's this meeting about?" mewed Lakefrost, looking a bit worried. Iriswhisker sat up, and Riverpaw looked up, his gaze fixed on brightstar and Mouseleaf. What was the brown tom doing up there? He wasn't deputy or anything! (but might be, huh, if Raindance doesnt come back. Lilly didn't respond to the member check but i saw her posting at the gathering, aka. Halopaw. I hope Willowy comes back...)

Brightstar looked down, and smiled. "Oh, nothings wrong not at all." She looked down at mouseleaf. "Just anocing some important matters is all."

"Like what?" meowed Iriswhisker, twitching her tail. "Like the fact that you and Mouseleaf are mates?" Lakefrost guessed, whiskers twitching. It was so obvious now, the two of them standing up there, the way they were acting. Riverpaw's eyes widened. Mates? Why was he so surprised though. Possibly because the thought of a mate had never occured to him. Of course, he was quite young so it never had to. He looked around the camp, wondering if anyone would ever trust him that much... It was a strange thought, looking around at the familar faces who were just acquiantances now, and picturing one of them having his kits, being by his side... loving him. The thought of him being in love! He glanced at his fellow denmates. Dandelionpaw's yellow fur glowed in the sun, but Pebblepaw and Swiftpaw both had their eyes set on her. One would win... would the other take Sparrowpaw? The other she-apprentice had been quite nice to him so far. She was probably the closest he had to a friend so far.

Sparrowpaw stole a glance at riveraw. He was to incredible for words.
Brightstar nodded. "Indeed that, but we have other business to attend to."

ooc: Mouseleaf is beneath the rock, and no, I won't take another high spot. That would give me three of twelve possible! That's 1/4 of all high spots!
bic: Mouseleaf suddenly felt embarrassed, wondering just how obvious he'd been.

(oh i forget about aspenfeather. lol i was just kidding.)
Riverpaw's eyes met Sparrowpaw's, and he blushed suddenly and looked away. His neck fur bristled, and he felt so embarrassed. Then he wondered why she had been looking at him anyway...
"What kind of business?" asked Iriswhisker curiously. "The twolegs?"

(Please don't make it seem like bright-star is crazy) "Yes. We have found fox traps, and campers in thunderclan aswell as kits leaving cam, and OTHER kits playing with them."

(what did I do? Im sorry if i did...)
Lakefrost winced. The torn flesh around his neck was healing, but still a bit tender. Iriswhisker gasped. "Traps? What shall we do about them? If the kits had wandered into one of them..." she shuddered, trying not to picture it. "Can we make a patrol go out and carefully find them, and set them off?" suggested Riverpaw, then embarrassed that he had spoken out, ducked his head. Meetings were mostly for warriors. Obviously Brightstar was asking her senior warriors for advice, not inexperienced apprentices.

Brightstar nodded to riverpaw. "Such wisdom from an young app. impressive." "Perhaps All warriors should stay closer to camp, and watch your feet. Also we need to set up guards for our camp so little kits don't wonder away. Any volunteers?"

"Guards could be unnecessary," pointed out Darkberry. "If we warn them, and make sure that the camp guard knows to keep their eyes peeled for kits, we shouldn't have a problem. There's no other place to get out."
