Riverpaw was much happier with the Clan now that he was na apprentice. He could go out and explore! The territory was so big! He stuck to the original ThunderClan borders at first. ShadowClan could wait a bit, there was a lot to see. The young tom raced through the woods, bounding over branches and swerving around bushes. He skidded to a halt in a clearing, making the dust swirl in the sunrays slanting through the tree branches. He looked around, taking in everything. He assumed this was the training hollow. The trees were shades of yellow, gold, orange, and scarlet, turning for leaffall and falling to earth. A maple leaf caught on the wind and spiraled towards the ground. Riverpaw sprang, catching the leaf between his paws. Dropping back on all fours, he abandoned his prize and pounced on the brown leaves scattered around the clearing, enjoying their satisfying crunch even more.

Brightstar padded up to riverpaw. "Ready for some battle skill training I think you have Concorde battling leaves!" She smiled amused.

Riverpaw ducked his head, embarrassed. He was behaving like a kit. "Sure, sounds great. Er, sorry about that."

Riverpaw stared at her. "Just like that? Well, okay..." He stepped back, and half-heartedly leaped at her.

Brightstar took one step to the side turned, and pinned riverpaw down "Not like that not like that at all."

Riverpaw jumped to his paws and shook his dusty pelt. "Let me try again." This time, he squared his shoulders and concentrated. He decided to aim for her muzzle. He locked his eyes on the target, and jumped at her again.

(OK don't get discouraged he will get her soon enough!) Brightstorm flattened out her body to the ground. "Indeed you have great potation I suppose I should train you more before we go in to practice battle it would be even a bit hard for a warrior to lay even the slightest paw on me if i didn't want them to, but soon enough you might be the first yet to have the capability to. If that dose happen you will be a grand warrior." Brightstar smiled at riverpaw.

(lol otay.)
Riverpaw smiled. "Then it's a good thing I'm in your Clan, huh? I have a question. If I'm aiming for something, should I keep my eyes fixed on it or look somewhere else to confuse my enemy?"

"For right now yes you aim, and when you were playing with leave early I though of somthing. In battle you are going to use your claws more than anything." She looked up to a tree. "Every leaf that falls catch it in your claws This will teach you how to use them properly." she mewed.

"Oh, okay. So... you want me to catch leaves? Seriously?" Riverpaw stared at her, stunned. His kit game was considered training?

"indeed it teaches you hand-paw coordination, but you have to keep you eyes open at all times every leaf that dose get past you I will swat the starclan out of you not hard, but it must be done. It like this. To say you are in battle you rest for even a minute you will die. I don't need kits out there battling. Kits don't have to concentrate YOU do every minuet you have to be on the look out. In this case you have to chose your better judgment in witch leaf will fall first? Just like if you are defending your clan mate witch one needs your help tho most? You have to act fast, and i am going to go ahead, and tell you this gets harder. I am going to have to push you on the edge make you want to kill me I have to be mean to you in my eyes your are as good as kit if you have to let others defend you. It will be brutal don't make me regret making you an apprentice you have the fire in your eyes let it burn down to your paws let it guide you its a part of you. This form of training will send you right back to the nushury are you up to it, and don't go crying to irishwhisker when it gets tuff cause this is kit stuff until you are a warrior, but until than you are to hold your head high GOT IT?" she said with a little growl. "My training you will make you or break you from this point on. You may think i am being mean or to harsh, but its not my job to be your friend its my job to make you a warrior, and be true to your clan my training can send you right back to the nursery be brave little warrior don't disappoint me." she stared at riverpaw. She HAD to be tough it was her way well that, and she never really got taught how to be kind and lovable.

Riverpaw had taken a few steps back, looking a bit scared and nervous. When she put it like that, it made him rethink the whole situation. He had given up his parents for his new leader to make it impossible for him to be a warrior? But it wasn't impossible. He knew it would be hard, and at times, he would want to give in, but he couldn't. He had come this far. Now he must finish it. It sounded harsh, but he would earn the respect and love of his Clanmates. or he hoped he would... "I will do my best," he whispered, hazel eyes intense. "Shall I catch those leaves now?"

Riverpaw padded into the center of the clearing. He still felt a bit odd about this but didn't dare say a word to Brightstar. He didn't want to dissappoint or anger her now. A breeze blew and several leaves were plucked off the trees and spiraled slowly towards the ground. Riverpaw crouched, judging the distance and how high he could leap. When one was within striking distance, he sprang as high as he could, jabbing the leaf in his claws. He jumped around like a rabbit a couple times, catching a few others on the claw before they hit the ground. He guessed how silly he looked and chuckled. This was fun, too!
