Jetpaw was still angry at Lionpaw when she answered, making her tone harsher than she would have intended. "So? Doesn't mean she can't teach a medicine cat, especially with their affinity for StarClan."

Hollowecho looked bewildered. He had always assumed the two siblings got along and were good friends. But by the sound of this arguement, this wasn't their first. "Um... guys? Can we get back to camp? Birchfire needs to see Bronzepaw as soon as possible. And I don't really know much about this StarClan, honestly, it is a lot to take in, but we'll just have to trust Bronzepaw to know more than us." He stared from Lionpaw to Jetpaw and back.

Lionpaw nodded, while Jetpaw pointedly ignored her brother. They fought like this all the time, although they'd each give their life for the other if it came down to it. "I'll get the prey we caught," Jetpaw offered, setting off before the others had a chance to protest.

Hollowecho's green gaze settled on his apprentice, as if waiting for an explanation. But the gray tom shook his head and turned back to Birchfire, deciding he didn't want one. That was Lionpaw and Jetpaw's business, and he didn't need to stick his nose in it. "Do you need help getting there Birchfire or can you manage?" he tried to keep his tone polite, simply offering if the loner needed help or not.

Lionpaw shrugged. He couldn't really offer his mentor any kind of elaboration. He and his twin just seemed to fight all the time. They couldn't help it--it was like it was ingrained in them or something.

"I'm fine," grunted Birchfire, shoving himself to his paws and starting to the path. "You'll have to excuse me - this isn't my normal haunting area, and I don't know the trails."

"We'll lead," Lionpaw offered instantly. Jetpaw could be heard in the brush, rustling leaves and fern fronds as she carried the prey she and her brother'd caught.

Hollowecho followed, bringing up the rear. Birchfire seemed pretty steady so he left it go.
