Whiteflower blinked, tipping her muzzle sideways to brush against him. "That's because I know what it feels like. I was never pitied as badly, but..." her voice faded, and she stepped away, eyes shining. "Darksight, I think... I think I love you."

"No, we WERE the pity party. Maybe... maybe we belong together, then. We don't need eyes or ears to listen to our hearts and follow what it's telling us. And I know what mine's telling me. Because I love you too, Whiteflower. I KNOW I do." Darksight's eyes glowed, with love for her and happiness that she felt the same. She saw him differently, a cat that had true feelings, besides being grumpy and stubbon, and was just as good as any other cat, or better.

"The pity party?" She started purring, but Darksight's next statement flared bright and strong in her chest. Hearing him say the words solidified her faith in her own. He was really very poetic, and that made her love him more. "The deaf cat and the blind cat. Well, half-deaf, but still. What a pair we make. I'll be your eyes, you be my ears." It had already been said today, but she repeated it, the statement far more true than it had been before.

(lol pity party, that is kind of funny) "But that's just it, Whiteflower. We're different to THEM. But we belong together. We complete each other," he mewed, agreeing with her statement. The were two halves together that formed a whole. His whole life, Darksight had felt like a piece of the wrong puzzle, one where he just didn't quite fit. He had found another "wrong" piece, Whiteflower, and their two pieces fit together perfectly in their own puzzle now! Although he couldn't see her, Whiteflower was the most beautiful she-cat in the world. He saw her heart with his, and that was all that mattered. (i hope im not layng it on thick. but these moments are touching i love threads like this...)

ooc; Nah, it's perfect. They are kinda the 'two halves of a whole' thing.
bic: "Do we have double-scent, then?" asked Whiteflower teasingly. She did love this cat. And it was true - without a cat to love, the white warrior was incomplete. And without a cat to love her. Rosethorn had always filled that post, but now her sister had to split her love between more beings, and Whiteflower had always felt that the queen only had a certain amount in her supply of love. "Our differences are what make us come together."

( I'm glad you agree ) "Yeah, I guess that's one of our major strengths, smell," purred Darksight. He ran his tail down her back, searching for her tail and twining his dark-striped one with her white one. He agreed with her one hundred percent, and this was the happiest day, the best moment of his life ever... (so far) "I wonder what the other cats will say," he mewed thoughtfully. "I mean, I doesn't matter, it won't change a thing. But I can just imagine their comments. Unless they always guessed we would end up together." He shrugged. "Like I said, it does not change a thing."

She shivered slightly as the tom's tail traced along her spine, but when his tail wrapped with hers, she wrapped a bit more lightly. "I love you either way, Darksight. Forever," mewed Whiteflower, delighted.

Darksight's whiskers trembled with happiness. "Forever and ever, and what ever comes after that!" he promised. "And I love you, Whiteflower." He loved her, loved loving her, loved hearing she loved him. The words were like honey to his ears and on his tongue. To prove it all once more, he gently touched his nose to hers.
