"Would you like to try fresh-kill for the first time?" suggested their father.
Cardinalkit's eyes glowed. "Yes, oh yes! Mouse!" he exclaimed, then immediately shot a challenging stare at his siblings, daring them to argue.

Lakefrost smiled and stepped out of the den to collect some prey, touching his nose to his mate's ear in passing.
While they waited, Cardinalkit pounced on Berrykit.
