personality: Birchfire thought Brightstar and Stonestar had every right to be in love - not to merge the Clans, but to be in love and to want to make it possible to love each other and be mates without persecution. He was greatly loyal to the code and his leader, and so was torn until the minute of the battle, when he turned and became truly more loyal to Brightstar than to the code, as some might view it, and not others. He fled with them and enjoyed the lawless moon or two without the code pushing in on him, and decided when TideClan was formed that the drama of Clan life wasn't worth it, so he became a loner, keeping out of their borders, but often seeing and talking to former Clanmates. He's an affable guy, but he's also true and strong to those he cares about.
