Longwhiskers laid in the elders den. The next cat to come in was going to hear a whole lot of history he decided. Than he heard the padder of paws.

"Hello, Longwhiskers," mewed Riverpaw politely, dropping a mouse at his paws. "I brought you some fresh-kill, and came to clean out the old bedding. How are you this morning?"

Longwhiskers let out a low growl. He HATED cross clan cats, but its not like he had any thing better to do Riverpaw himself was eager to please, and there was no doubt in his mind he was trying hard "Riverpaw? Would you be interested in hearing how the clans came to be?" If there was anything he loved to talk about more it was how each clan formed. After all he was the only one who could remember.

Riverpaw's tail curled up. "Sure! That's when the Clans were REAL Clans, all of them," he mewed ruefully. He glanced at Longwhiskers and mewed quietly, "I'm hoping Brightstar will call me Rivershadow at my warrior cermony, in honor of the Clans that once were. Don't get me wrong, Brightstar of RiverClan and ShadowClan's Stonestar broke the code, and SHOULD be punished. But their Clans' names shouldn't be forgotten. Yes, I'd love to hear a story while I clean out the moss."

Longwhiskers smiled. "Indeed she probably will give you the honor of carrying on your clan name you should be awfully proud."
"No no no I meant the first cats to walk these woods the first warriors. I suppose you don't know much on the subject many elders don't remember. but even at 101 moons old I DO."

Longwhiskers grinned. He stared in to Riverpaws eyes. HE some what reminded him of an old friend. "Riverpaw to you recognize the the name RhinoFace?"

Riverpaw looked puzzled. "Who? No, I don't, sorry. I don't really remember my old Clanmates too well. I left them when I was three moons old, and never really bothered with them. I wanted to be a REAL warrior, and I knew that couldn't happen there. It had to be ThunderClan or WindClan, and I wasn't too thrilled about chasing rabbits all day." He suddenly thought of his mother, Swiftwater. He missed her, sort of, but Iriswhisker had helped fill that gap where his mother should have been. And Duskfall, his father... he wondered where they were and how they were doing...

"No," Riverpaw mewed firmly. "This is my home, and these cats are my family now. Swiftwater and Duskfall are gone..." he trailed off for a long moment. Then looked up. "Can I still hear this story?"

Longwhiskers smiled. "OF course." "In the beginning there were fore clans. There were also only Four cats that all had the skills to be leader. They decided to make there own clans. Wind,water,Thunder, (Can't remember the other). Now while that was happening there was ANOTHER clan, but we can't prove it exist. It was called skyclan. I know its exist, but i am not at will to tell. Its peaceful there. no wars or battles. And sickness is nonexistent. It sounds like starclan but yet it is not. I saw these cats once, but they disagreed with our ways when we asked them to join the clans. Now the cat i was telling you about earlier was rhinoface. He planed to over throw the leader of thunder at that time. Yet somehow he is still in starclan Thats mostly why i can't see why some cats don't believe any more. Even after this plan starclan still loved this warrior, and brought him in to starclan.

(River and Shadow. just as the clans are named)
Riverpaw looked thoughtful. He had heard a bit about the begginning of the Clans. However, this story was about Rhinoface. "Well, maybe... he thought the leader was bad? The only way to save the Clan was to overthrow the leader. I really don't know, I haven't died yet and I've never spoken with StarClan."

LONGWHISKERS shock his head "I don't mean to talk so much about rhinoface its just he was more or less the reason for the warrior code. He was strong headed broke so many rules so we made sure nothing like him ever came along ever agen. Some would say her was like the inventor of it well he was the reason for it anyway."
