"And so do I," Fletch mewed. "Lots of cats live here." He turned round as a twig snapped.
"Mousedung!" hissed Splash to herself as she tumbled from the bush. Staring at the other loner and the two cats, she righted herself and stood glancing from one to the other with wide, puzzled eyes.

Wolfsong turned to Silverkit. "Shush. If your going to sneak out of camp and pretend to be a warrior you should try and act like one." She turned back to the loners. "Look, we aren't looking for a fight, but your on our territory and you can either leave or take it up with Flightstar. Or I can just drive you out, whichever you pick."

Splash sighed. "Oh, do grow up." She was quite blunt. Glancing at all, she asked, "Who are you? Who's Flightstar? What's all this about leaving?"
Fletch answered her questions: "This is two TideClan cats, this new group of cats. This Flightstar seems to be the leader, and they all seem to think they now own the beach." He snorted, remaining where he was and slowly, deliberately licking a paw.

As one, both loners slid out their claws. "No," Fletch growled. Splash's eyes flashed.

Wolfsong's claws came out. "Fine then." She growled. Croutching, she crept slowly towards the loners. Her eyes drifted to the waves, suddenly she leaped at Fletch, aiming to claw his back and she raked her claws down Splash's side, hoping to wound her there.

Wolfsong looked around at the kit. "Look, the warrior code sas that we defend our borders. That is what I am doing. I gave them a chance to leave without a fight and be sensable. They said no. Fligthstar will have my whiskers if I just let them go on their merry way, taking our prey."

"They're not taking our prey,"she hissed as she jumped on Wolfsong digging her tiny but sharp claws into her nose."Now stop,"she yowled.

Fletch rolled away with a hiss, a gash down his flank. Splash screeched and whacked her paw hard against the side of Wolfsong's head, trying to make her feel dizzy.

Wolfsong ignored Splash's paw as it hit her head. "Didn't you just see them hunting?" She demanded. "We need every pawstep of territory to support our clan. If you want to give it away then thats one more bit of prey that we won't have when it gets colder!"
