Shellkit reached on her hind paws, about to catch the moss ball when Gullkit cut in and stole it."Hey!" yowled Shellkit. Gullkit tossed the ball aside. "Let's play something else. Let's all play Clan warriors," decided the silver tom, and his sister hissed.

I wanna be leader!" protested Gullkit. "Gullstar! Why does Onestar get it?"
"You can be deputy, Gullfeather," mewed Shellkit. "I'm Shellpool. Do we have any medicine cats?"

Gullfeather jumped up. "Alright then, let's organize some patrols. I'll lead a battle patrol to drive those badgers out of our territory!" his eyes gleamed hungrily for the make-believe battle, and he unsheathed his thorn-sharp claws.

"Alright, Stormysky, Silverhawk, let's be off," Gullfeather raised his tail, then sprang on Shellpool. "You're the badger!" he decided suddenly. The calico she-kit spat and pushed him away. "No, I'm the medicine cat! Find another badger!"
Gullfeather's amber eyes were narrowed in annoyance. "Fine, and who's it gonna be?"

Shellpool began plucking pieces of leaves and moss together and carefully mixing them with one extended claw.

Silverkawk ran out of camp for a second then came back with a mouse in her mouth.but it was still alive."I found the badger,"she announced and dropped the mouse on the ground.
