"They are all nice names. Silverlight makes me sound like I came from StarClan," smiled Silverpaw. "I doubt that's very fitting. Maybe I'll get Silverleap or Silverstep or something." (Silverspring lol)

Rosethorn purred softly. "Coming from StarClan isn't bad. You're strong, kind, pretty, and you'll make a great warrior. Why couldn't you have a name that sounds like that?" She nudged her kits toward the nursery entrance to push them into the clearing.

"I know you can. But I'm pushing you anyway, because I'm a big, bad badger come to eat you!" She pounded, and Stormkit squealed, bouncing out of the nursery. Wavekit followed his sister, mewing, "I can handle a badger! Come on Foxkit, help!"

Foxkit grumbled and turned to face his mother, the badger. "Foxstar's here to save the day! I'm gonna get you, badger!" he growled.

"No!" cried Rosethorn, leaping over him and into the clearing. She loved the relaxing feel of the sunlight on her coat, but to mimic being a badger, she squeezed her eyes most of the way shut and lumbered toward Foxkit.

Silverpaw blushed, but was truly touched by Rosethorn's comments. "Thanks, Rosethorn. Well I will be taking this honey back, then. Don't forget - you had a sore throat!" she picked up the moss and left the nursery. The queen's praise had stirred up something else - it had made her think of all her flaws. Silverpaw doubted her own loyalty these days, and the ability to judge right and wrong... But she couldn't abandon Basil now.

Wavekit bounced over, pouncing onto her chest, straddling her ribs and sternum. Rosethorn grunted and rolled. Stormkit gripped her tail in sharp, gentle teeth.
